Organization of transportation of John Deere 4830 sprayer from the USA
The Client purchased a John Deere 4830 sprayer in the United States and contacted us for its transportation in the terms of DAP from the United States to Ukraine.
How was the process?
Compared to the transportation of combine harvesters, the logistics of sprayers are much simpler, as there is no need to remove the wheels and auger. It is only important to obtain the correct permits in advance and deliver the trawl to the Seller’s territory in time for the fastest transportation of the equipment to the port.
Since we specialize in the transportation of agricultural machinery, we understand how important it is that it is delivered to the client in Ukraine on time. After all, agricultural machinery is extremely needed in a specific season, not just anytime.
So, when we transported this sprayer, we performed the following logistics work:
– We organized ground transportation from the Seller’s territory, from Arizona to the port. This work includes loading on a trawl and obtaining permits for the transportation of oversized equipment;
– Sea transportation using Ro-Ro service. This is when the equipment drives on board the vessel on its own, and is attached to the floor in the hold. In Ro-Ro transportation, containers are not used, only floor mounts. Read more about Ro-Ro transportation here;
– We received the sprayer in the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, where our work consisted of issuing a T1 document, performing intra-port forwarding, paying terminal fees and loading it onto a trawl for further land transportation to Ukraine;
– Land transportation from the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, to the Kharkiv region, Ukraine.
The Ro-Ro transit time from the American port to the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, was 14 days.
