Transportation of John Deere 9760 STS combine from the USA to a European port
The client purchased a John Deere 9760 STS combine harvester in America and entrusted us with its transportation to Ukraine. Our task was to organize the transportation to the European port.
How was the process?
In this transportation, we performed only part of the work, as the client decided to supply his own trawl for land transportation from Europe to Ukraine.

So our tasks were as follows:
– Calculate the optimal transportation route from the Seller’s territory in America to the nearest port, more about the service in this section. The criterion for choosing a port was not only the shortest distance, but also the ability to work with Ro-Ro vessels. Ro-Ro service was chosen for the sea transportation of this combine harvester;
– We organized land transportation across the United States from Texas to the port. We supplied a trawl and ensured that all the necessary permits for the transportation of equipment on US roads were issued. We advised the client to arrange with the sender to remove the auger on site. Why: Call us for advice. In our experience, shippers are not always able or willing to remove the auger. This is not a problem for us. We will gladly remove the auger from the combine at the port of shipment, because our mechanics are experienced and cool professionals;
– The combine was on the move, so we chose Ro-Ro service for sea transportation. This is when the equipment drives on board the vessel on its own, and is attached to the floor in the hold. In Ro-Ro transportation, no containers are used, only floor mounts. Read more about Ro-Ro transportation here;
– We received the combine in the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, where our work consisted of issuing the T1 document, performing intra-port forwarding, paying terminal costs, removing the wheels and loading the combine onto the client’s trawl for further land transportation to Ukraine.
The Ro-Ro transit time from the American port to the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, was 14 days.
