How was the process?
The client purchased a John Deere 9770STS combine harvester in the United States of America and needed to transport it to Ukraine. Our team took on this task and began to organize the delivery of this equipment. We share our experience in delivering agricultural machinery to Ukraine on this page.
The first step was to determine the best route and calculate the cost of delivery. We have many years of experience in multimodal transportation of agricultural machinery, so we were confident that we could handle this task efficiently. As a result of the route development, the port of departure, the type of sea transportation and the port of receipt were determined.
For sea transportation, we chose the Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) service. At the port of departure, we optimized the dimensions of the equipment.
Then they loaded the combine onto a ship bound for the port of Bremerhaven in Germany. Bremerhaven is the largest port in Europe for handling oversized cargo and with the ability to accept RoRo vessels.
The standard transit time for this route was 14 days from port to port, and we met this schedule exactly. At the destination in the port of Bremerhaven, a trawl was waiting for the combine for further land transportation to the Kharkiv region. After unloading the combine from the vessel, we performed intra-port work: we issued all the necessary documents, including a transit import permit (T1), and sent the combine to the client’s door in the Kharkiv region. Thanks to our team and cooperation with reliable partners, we ensured the smooth and fast transportation of the John Deere 9770STS combine from America (Ohio) to Ukraine (Kharkiv region).
