How was the process?
We were happy to get to work and processed the request within a day. It is important for us to provide customers with a service that is acceptable to them personally, so if the customer wants to organize any stage of transportation on their own, we will not in any way prevent this. If necessary, our company provides the service “Delivery of agricultural machinery to Ukraine” to fully provide and meet your transportation requirements.
So this time, we performed the following logistics work:
– We calculated the optimal transportation route from the Seller’s territory in America, from Illinois, to the nearest port. Read more about the types of transportation in the United States on this page;
– organized ground transportation across the United States to the port, more details about this service can be found on the website. We supplied a trawl and ensured that all the necessary permits for the transportation of equipment on US roads were issued. We advised the client to arrange with the sender to remove the auger on site. Don’t hesitate to call us for advice;
– The combine was on the move, so we chose Ro-Ro service for sea transportation. This is when the equipment drives on board the vessel on its own, and is attached to the floor in the hold. In Ro-Ro transportation, no containers are used, only floor mounts. Read more about Ro-Ro transportation here. It is worth noting here that not all ports work with Ro-Ro vessels, so when choosing a port of departure, we took into account not only the shortest distance to it from the Seller’s territory, but also the ability to accept Ro-Ro vessels;
– We received the harvester in the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, where our work consisted of issuing the T1 document, performing intra-port forwarding, paying terminal fees, removing the wheels and loading it onto the client’s trawl for further land transportation to Ukraine. You can learn more about the aspects of our services on this page of our website.
The Ro-Ro transit time from the American port to the port of Bremerhaven, Germany, was 14 days port-to-port.
